Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) are our volunteer backbone, the cogs that turn and tick to provide the Cadet Experience. CFAVs come from all backgrounds, skillsets & experiences. You'd be hard-pressed not to find something you could turn your hand to.
There's a multitude of roles available from being in the 'coal-face' instructing cadets and providing them a safe environment to experience everything we have to offer, management roles to vital background roles helping our squadron function on a week-to-week basis.
Vetting & Training
All our volunteers as standard go through Enhanced DBS checks and additional vetting, once the initial paperwork is completed and the vetting comes back with the 'green light' you'd complete the Adult Volunteer Induction Package. You'd do most of the work during the course of parade nights, with the Squadron Training Officer and Officer Commanding. This culminates with a one-day Induction day ran by Wing Headquarters.
Don't worry this isn't pass or fail, this is to set you up and make sure you're ready to volunteer!

Wait for clearance back, once you've obtained your DBS you'll be able to start your volunteering journey!
